Ballroom Details

The Casita Room holds the majority of our dining tables and accommodates 120-150 guests. In this area you can really notice the detail of the historic era this building once held. Having a library theme, this room is filled with "books" to conceal the support columns. A gorgeous hand carved teak wood fireplace is the focal point as soon as you walk into the Casita Room. There is a beautiful stairway, which allows bride & groom and other honorees to use for their grand entrance! The room is also perfect for baby shower and bridal shower gatherings. It also accommodates small wedding ceremonies in our Chapel area. Please contact our Event Coordinator for further details and information.

Ballroom Details

This is a must see! The Crystal Ballroom holds the original dance floor from the 1920’s with two magnificent hand blown glass crystal chandeliers above. A Cinderella feel for our brides! The ballroom also holds a beautiful red velvet bench along one wall for resting during all the dancing your guests will do during your special event! There is also the original catering kitchen on the north end of the ballroom. The huge mirrors and paintings in this room are magnificent as well…making this room fit for a king or queen! The Crystal Ballroom can accommodate 80-100 guests. On occasion the Ballroom can also be utilized for small wedding ceremonies, receptions, luncheons, etc. Please contact our Event Coordinator for further details and information.

Ballroom Details

As you walk into the Bugambilia Terrace please note the doors, these are original from the old Cortez Hotel. This room will accommodate up to 60 guests. Several rectangular tables sitting approximately 10 people per table are arranged here and can easily fit a couple of bistros as well. This room is consistently used for baby and bridal showers on Sunday afternoons. There is a small sink/counter along one wall for your use. A beautiful hand carved bar, designed in San Miguel, Mexico adorns this room. The shutters are from the Amish country in Pennsylvania. Ballroom Details

Hosting a living room setting, before you enter the Rio Bravo Cantina, is the the Royal Red Room. Consisting of comfortably arranged sofas and armchairs this area provides a conversational setting for your guests to enjoy a little quiet time during your special event. Within this room you will find the Ladies and Gentlemen facilities which are fit for royalty. Your guests can also venture outside to the “smoking area” known as the Twinkle Light Terrace. The terrace is also accommodating for small ceremonies. Please contact our Event Coordinator for further details and information.

Ballroom Details

Not only is the courtyard a focal point of the Villa de Cortez but visualize a beautifully candle-lit water fountain, a red carpet rolled out for a bride and her groom, surrounded by small landscaped islands and tropical palm trees. This setting is perfect for a small wedding ceremony or any social event. Please contact our Event Coordinator for further details and information.

Ballroom Details

The Rio Bravo room is a casual setting room for approximately 55 guests. Its main purpose is to provide refreshments during your special event; however, this room can also be used for small baby and bridal showers. The hand carved bar is from Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. The lights and brass glass holder are from the old McAllen Country Club. Please contact our Event Coordinator for further details and information.

Ballroom Details

A beautiful winding stairway leads you into The Wild Thing Party Room, a safari themed room. Accommodating 100 guests this room is perfect for graduations, birthday parties, social events, business meetings, etc. A small dance floor and stage are provided for your special event. Facilities are on the same floor for easy access. A kitchen is provided for your food services; however, no cooking is allowed on this floor. A bar is also available for your use.
