Event Coordinator

Hello, my name is, Cynthia. I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. In the fall of 1999, my family and I moved to the Rio Grande Valley and Weslaco became our home.

After learning the history of Weslaco, I was inspired to learn more about the town and its main attraction, the Villa de Cortez.

In 2001, I began working at the Villa de Cortez, known for its elegant Crystal Ballroom. It has been my privilege to become this historical building’s event coordinator for many weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and graduations.

I particularly enjoy helping in planning every detail from decorations to layout and bar arrangements.
